SDBB – Duke 2017-18 Player Profiles – Marvin Bagley III

By Bermuda Bob

Marvin is a 6’11, 234 lb. Forward, who will wear #34 at Duke.  He had been the Consensus #1 High School Player for 2018, before re-classifying to graduate in 2017.  Thus, he became the Consensus #1 High School Player for 2017.

Marvin was recognized by USAToday as All-USA 1st Team selection as a Junior in 2017, averaging 24.9 PPG and 10.1 RPG to lead Sierra Canyon to a 27-3 record.

Marvin came to the High School level highly touted and proved worthy of his accolades, earning Player of the Year by the Arizona Republic in 2015 after leading Corona del Sol High School to the Arizona State Championship as a Freshman.

In between. Marvin has won a plethora of accolades, too numerous to mention, just proving that he’s the real deal.  That means he comes to Duke with high expectations, even if he got here a few days late !!!

There is a video circulating on the Duke internet that allows Marvin to explain himself in his own words. It is very impressive !!!.  Here’s the link. I’m sure you’ll agree with me after watching it.
